SPEAKER_00:

Asalaamu alaikum. Peace be upon you wherever you are on this planet. Welcome back to NPC, where we come together to listen, to reflect, to heal, and to grow. I appreciate your patience. I know it's been a good while since I recorded an episode. I've been reflecting on how to improve the podcast or um also had some thoughts about maybe stop doing it altogether. Um which I thought I didn't want to do that, but I wanted to improve it, I wanted to add more value to it, so I had that time to reflect on how to do that. Um one of the ideas that came to me is to actually invite guests, more guests. I know we already had maybe a couple of guests in the past, um but it will be the case that I I invite more people to join to to add more value to you, uh precious listeners, um so you can learn from a diverse um expert and those who have experience, but also those who have stories to tell. And I do invite you to if you know anybody, or if you yourself have a story, have an expert, uh have an experience, have knowledge you'd like to share that would help people heal uh through their healing journey, please do reach out, and I'd love to hear from you, and we could make something happen and record something to share the benefits and share the goodness to the world. Um yeah, so that's that's what's been happening in the background, and that's why I had I felt I needed this space uh before coming back. But alhamdulillah, I'm back now. Um and excited to share today's episode, which is all about uh the season we're in and the lessons we can take. I know I might have maybe talked about it before, um, but we'll talk about it from a perspective uh from the most precious and closest book to my heart, the Quran. So, and this topic is letting go. And as we are in the season of autumn, we all witness beautiful trees and how they let go of their leaves. Um we all appreciate the beauty of the colors of the images we witness. Um, their favorite season. Um and an extra bonus is to try to grasp the lessons, the meanings from autumn, from this beautiful season, from these beautiful trees. How can we learn from them? Because as I often say, the seasons are not just happening outside of us. Uh, we also have our own seasons happening and changing inside of us. Uh if we decide to be conscious, to have that consciousness and help ourselves to move forward and move with nature as nature grows and and let goes, we also can do the same and should help ourselves to do the same by taking the right steps um to move forward, to let go of what we need to let go of. Um so that's a beautiful, beautiful lesson. And imagine if these trees holding tight into these leaves, how they will be. They will often be um really looking broken most of the time. These leaves uh potentially will dry out and the tree will look very dry, very dead, uh, just because she decided to hold into the leaves and was too scared, too attached to let go of these leaves. Imagine if this is the case. Of course it's not, because the tree follows the nature, the natural process of letting go, and the reward for that is growing new, beautiful, fresh leaves that we'll all appreciate through during spring, and then moving towards summer and seeing a nice, beautiful new version of the tree. And this is exactly the case of human beings when we decide to follow nature, to follow the natural process, and a let go and learn how to let go with ease, uh, without doubts, without fears, um, and let go with peace, really. And when we do that, we unfold new versions of ourselves every season, every year, and that's the true, beautiful, real growth and makes life a beautiful journey that's full of joy, full of venture, full of blessings, um, and follow um the nature process of life. That's why we're here. We're here to grow, we're here to flourish, we're here to bring the best out of us to uh to humanity, to ourselves, to our loved ones, to the whole planet. Um, yes, so as I said, um I love how the Quran, which is um the most beautiful book, uh, and it it has beautiful lessons, and it is the book that speaks to every human being. It doesn't matter your ethnicity, your race, your background, the language you speak, Qur'an speaks to everybody, and it's the best book to read if you truly want to understand the human self and the human soul, and what helps us through our journey. And one of the lessons I grasp from the Quran, from the stories in the Quran is letting go and how it's beautifully um said in the Quran in a few um ayahs in a few parts, and today I want to focus on three parts that will sum up how letting go really gives us the best out of things. So, one of these ayahs or stories, let me start with a story of Prophet Musa Musa, peace be upon him. We most of us know when he was a baby, um Pharaoh was killing all babies who were boys at that time because he was too worried that whoever is gonna be born during that time will take over and will take the leadership. So he was killing every every baby, baby boy being born at that time, basically. So the mother of Moses, alayhi salam, she was going through difficult times because she just had her baby, it should be a happy time, um enjoying this blessing, really, the gift of having her baby son, but obviously being born during that time of injustice where baby boys getting killed just because of the leader um that said that made it a test for Moses Musa's mother. Anyway, so the Quran tells us the story beautifully and tells us how um God's Allah's inspiration to Moses' mother at that time is to put him in the Moses basket that we all still call it Moses' basket until now, and that's where it came from. So that what God inspires uh Moses' mom to put him in the Moses basket and put him in the river, in the Nile River, and obviously for anybody from the outside, this sounds like a crazy idea, but it teach it teaches us letting go that sometimes when we fear something, when we fear for someone, the best thing to do is letting go. And yeah, I know it it takes a lot of a struggle within ourselves, which is what we're here to do, to purify ourselves, to struggle within ourselves, but the results of that are significant. So actually, Moses Musa alayhi salam's mother actually does that, and and she um just put the the Moses, puts him in the Moses basket and puts him in the nail, and just just leave it to Allah to deal with it, to protect them. So she had that trust, she let go and had the trust deeply in her heart, um, because she knew this is an inspiration from God, from Allah. So it should be, it must be the best thing to do, despite the fact from our human mind, our limited mind, it could be crazy, but she did it, she let go and she did it. So that's that is that is one example, and the outcome of that, which comes in in the next ayah on the next part of the story that tells us um in almost, which means be assured, we will bring him back to you, and we will make him a prophet, a messenger. So that is the gift, that is the gift of trusting, of trusting the results of letting go for the creator when you put your deep trust in the creator, not in the created things. This is what happens. Um, and this is what happened in the story. So Mosa, Moses, alayhi salaam, he became a messenger, and he was protected. Obviously, he did not the the basket did not sink, um did not drone, and it was he was protected, and he was even raised in in the in the um castle of Pharaoh, uh that really horrible leader who thought he was God, but he was Musa was protected because of the power of letting go a that his mom had and did having the deep trust that he will be protected by his creator, which happened, and he then became a messenger and had a sacred message to to guide his people. So that what that is one beautiful example of the power of letting go in the Quran. Another thing, also, as I read, there is also part that says a wama and fakto min shayyin fahua yahlufuhu, waha hairo ar-razaen. Um so that's the outcome, but the the ayah or the part of the Quran which says that whoever is struggling financially, um they should give as much as they can from what what they've been giving. So the lesson here, when you're struggling financially, you should give. So to a limited human mind, you'd think this is how come when we are already struggling financially, we should give? Like that means that whatever I already have will be taken away from me because I gave it. This is the limited human mind, the reaction. But the true thing, what we learn here is letting go of the attachment of money, and when we let go of that, when we learn how to give when we're mostly in need, the abundance will flow uh naturally into our life. So the lesson of letting go here is uh letting go of the attachment, of money, letting go of thinking that it is the source of security, of safety, letting go of all that, letting all go of the this created thing, and instead putting the trust of the creator of all things. Um so that is the lesson in that. And and then the outcome of this, which the this part of the Quran says, is whatever you give out, it will be made up for you, not just as it was, it'll be doubled or even tripled sometimes. So that is the outcome when we give, and when we let go of the attachment of money, let go of the thought that it is the source of security, the source of happiness, the source of safety. And again, it's the same thing with the story of Musa. Uh, when we let go of the attachment to more our most precious uh like people in our lives, most to most people, children are the most precious people in their life, so that's a big test to actually let go and uh let go of that, so let go of the attachment to your children and knowing that you don't own them, and letting go of that is very liberating to both sides, to to the children and to the parents as well. And when we do that, uh we put them in in the endless protection of God for sure, and it's the same thing for money, is is letting go of the attachment of money as a source of happiness or source of security. No, see as a means to an end, and at the end of the day, the provider of this money is Allah, is God, and this is what we should always rely and hold into and let go of all the other things uh with peace and with a trust that God will put more abundance in our children, our money when we let go of the attachment to these things and fear of oh, they're gonna, we're gonna lose them, or we're gonna um like hold into control with them. So let go of that control always brings abundance, brings goodness, brings peace to all parties involved. Um so that's a really beautiful lesson from the Quran that we learn when we let go of something, when we let go of the attachment, of the gifts that we have in our lives, and letting go of the of the thinking that they are the source of our security or the source of our happiness or the source of safety, letting go of all that and relying and trusting in in the creator of all these things, and deep having deep trust in Allah in God will be the endless uh source of happiness and the endless source of peace. So these are two beautiful examples of the power of letting go, the healing power of letting go of the attachments of worldly things and of the attachment to our loved ones. Um and as I said, uh the gift, the result of letting go of these things, a having fear or worrying towards these things, whether it's our loved ones or our money or our whatever worldly things we have, uh the reward of letting go of that attachment is safety, is endless security, is a abundance, more abundance in these things, and more security in these things, because um you will get them back in the best possible way, um because you let go of them, of putting power in them and trust in them, letting go of all that and leave all the trust, all the power to Allah. So He'll bring more abundance in your life and more abundance in these things when you choose to let go of that attachment. And in that case, you really bring lots of love to your children, to your money, to anything you are um attached to in a really negative way. No, that is the healing power of letting go of these attachments. Um I really pray that what I wanted you to receive from these beautiful deep meanings and lessons from the Quran that really reaches your heart deeply and helps you to let go with ease of all the attachments that really can bring a disturbance to our hearts if we decide to get hold of them and and and and keep hold of them. No, I really pray that these words will help you let go of attachments with ease, with peace, which will bring you endless peace and endless joy. Um for sure. And remember, when you do this, you follow nature. This is the best season of letting go of attachment. Uh, that really is the best time to do it, and do it intentionally, um do it with love, and you'll notice the big, beautiful change in your life. Uh, may all your lives be full of ease, full of peace, full of wisdom, full of um really easy letting go of attachment that you don't really need to have and hold into. And until I I connect with you next time, um salamat, salamath to you all.
