What if true inner peace lies not in the mind, but in the heart? In this nice and short episode of In Peace, we uncover the transformative power of following your heart. Inspired by a profound passage from the Quran, we dig deep into the concept that the heart is far more than just a physical organ; it is the core of our being, guiding us towards authenticity and truth. We discuss the importance of creating quiet moments of reflection amidst the chaos of modern life to be able to hear the signals from our hearts.

Looking forward to hearing your reflections and thoughts.

Much love and salams!

Speaker 1:

Salaam Alaikum, peace be upon you wherever you are on this planet. Welcome back to In Peace, where we all come together to listen, reflect, heal and grow. In today's episode it's really going to be a really nice and short one. As I know, it's Eid, eid Mubarak to those who celebrated, so I don't want to take long. I really wanted to share a reflection that I had after reading a part in the Quran that states how it is not people's eyes that become blind, but their hearts, and also questions how people can't know the truth when they have hearts to think with. And I always stop in this part whenever I read it because to me it's a clear sign from the creator.

Speaker 1:

The real source of truth is our heart, and if we really want to live in this life in an authentic way, in a way where we enjoy our inner peace, really we need to pay attention to what our heart tells us, to the things that the material world don't really or can't really offer. And they know, to some people, when you, when they hear follow your heart or listen to your heart, they would find it too naive or too romantic and all these things. And and yeah, not take it seriously, because in this time and age, in this capitalist society, everybody's looking for quote-unquote, you know, base their views or their decisions only on material evidence and ignore what their heart is trying to push them towards. And most of the time, I believe that people think of following your heart as a naive thing because really they don't understand what it means to follow your heart and and follow nonsense feelings to them anyway. And they like understanding what it means to follow your heart and it basically is. And it basically is going back to the meaning of the heart. The heart is not just the pump that we are blessed that it is now moving and working, that means we're alive, but also means our center, our soul center, our spirit, and that's what the heart means. So it's not just the physical pump, it's more deeper and it is the center of our being really.

Speaker 1:

And to be able to listen to that, you really need to give yourself a space. You you need to give yourself a time to connect with yourself, to connect with your soul. You need to give yourself quietness, calmness, stillness, to be able to listen to what your soul, your heart, your center being really wants you to do next or understand about, whether it's the world or a particular issue you're having or a particular difficulty or loss. You can't process any of these things without listening to your heart truly, and every person have a different language through their heart and to master it you really need to connect with yourself. And it shouldn't be a luxury thing, it shouldn't be a difficult thing. This really can be as anything on your to-do list To give yourself some very quiet time, just you and your being, you and your heart, to focus and to listen. So it's not difficult. It needs practice. It's not difficult, it needs practice.

Speaker 1:

But when you do it once, you'll see the magic things that start to happen in your life. And sometimes these decisions that come from the heart can be scary and everybody around you push you away from making that decision. But, as I said, when you do it once and you'll see the positive impact and how you're really becoming closer to your true self, which is really the secret of endless inner peace, you will be able to do it always that way and you'll live a full life, full of heart, where your heart leads you. So all your life will be full of life and well, you'll be the center of every everywhere you go to, because you are so true, you are so authentic when you are courageous enough and brave enough to follow this voice. So, yeah, it is a journey, but you deserve to live this way and you deserve to have this inner peace through life. Have this inner peace through life.

Speaker 1:

So, yeah, every day, make sure to give yourself some time, some space of quietness, of stillness, and in these moments they will be the highlight of your day because you'll be able to to have these inspirations and and ideas and and moves that you need to take all these things you you won't pay attention to if you're all of all the time just running, running, running, running. No one moment of stillness, no one moment of just being with yourself. And this is the key to be able to listen and hear your heart and lead a life through your heart. And it is not naive, it is courageous, it is the secret of true living, of peaceful living, and to be a source of truth In this life.

Speaker 1:

So, yeah, I I really hope what I really wanted to say, that it reached you, and and I just want to want to end this with a beautiful quote by the philosopher Al Farabi, when he said the ruling organ in the human body is the heart. The brain is a secondary ruling organ subordinated to the heart and, yeah, I love this. It just sums up how the heart is, is really at the heart of everything, everything. And and the more you work on your inner, you do your your inner work as you were we were talking in last week the the clearer the signals from your heart will become. So, and remember the gifts of hardships, of losses, of difficulties. These are all gifts, believe me, because these are the ones that push us to work, to do the inner work, and the more inner work we do, the clearer the signals of the heart will become, and this is how you live authentically and be a source of truth in this life.

Speaker 1:
